How To Take Care Of Your Dreamweavers® Cushions and Rugs

In this blog you will learn exactly how to take care of your Dreamweavers® Cushions and Rugs (the right way).

All of our products are handmade with 100% Polyester, this amazing fabric has less chance of staining than natural fabrics and during the dying process, less room is left in the fibres for soiling.

How To Clean Your Dreamweavers® Rug

  1. Shake well and vacuum with nozzle only or lint roller.
  2. Spot clean with suitable cleaning agent (patch test first) or use a Specialist Clean service such as Dry Cleaning.
  3. Use a clean fine fibre brush to bring the nap of the fabric back to its original look.
  4. Periodically rub hand gently over surface to lift the elements to maintain its appearance.

As you can imagine, with 100s of elements on each design, some may pop from time to time due to accident or wear and tear (like a shirt losing a button).

If an element does pop, use a needle and thread to sew the element back together.  The fine thread will sink into the nap of the fabric and the repair will not be visible.

Shimmer cushions and rugs shed fibre, this is the nature of the fabric when cut, it loosens some fibres and is not avoidable in the manufacturing process and not a design fault.  Shedding will reduce over time as any loose fibres come away.

Scream at anyone who wears shoes on your gorgeous rug!

All cushions should be checked for colour fastness against any fabric sofa or leather furniture prior to use.

Dreamweavers accepts no liability for any dye transfer which is unknown or heard of due to the nature of the dye used, however chemicals used for cleaning floors including bleach damage your Rug and potentially stain floors.  We do not over dye our products and all dye molecules are locked into the fibres.

KEEP ALL ITEMS AWAY FROM FIRES AND CHEMICALS NOT SUITABLE FOR FABRICS.
